Looking for red light therapy in London? From quick LED sessions and full-body red light to infrared movement, sound and some seriously interesting light tech, these are the places we’ve tried, loved or currently have on our list.
There was a time when meeting a friend for red light felt fairly niche. I used to meet one of mine at The Light Salon rather than at the bar, we’d lie under the LEDs, catch up on everything and emerge glowing rather than two glasses of wine down.
Fast-forward a few years and London has gone decidedly red.
There are now quick LED sessions you can fit into a shopping trip, full-body light treatments, infrared workouts, immersive light-and-sound experiences and increasingly sophisticated clinics taking photobiomodulation into the wider longevity world.
And because a red room and actual red-light therapy aren’t necessarily the same thing, we’ve started looking a little more closely at what each experience actually offers.
Here’s where we’re lighting in London right now.
Some we’ve tried and loved. Others are firmly on our list.
The Light Salon, For a Quick Light Fix
Selfridges, Oxford Street | Tried + loved by Bright Souls

The OG of our London light list and part of our own red-light story for years.
There was a period when a friend and I would meet at The Light Salon instead of going to the bar. We’d lie under the LEDs, catch up on everything and emerge glowing rather than two glasses of wine down.
The Selfridges location is still one of the easiest ways to fit light into an actual London day, with its Express LED Face & Hair Bar alongside more advanced treatments in private treatment rooms. The Light Salon uses red and near-infrared LED within its light treatments. The Light Salon
The Bright Souls take: An easy introduction to LED without turning wellness into an afternoon-long undertaking.
ilā RegenX, For Going Deeper
Marylebone | On our list

This is where light starts getting rather more futuristic.
ilā RegenX takes a much more personalised approach, with multi-wavelength photobiomodulation, professional red and near-infrared light panels, a full-body red-light mat and its Neuro-Regenerative Helmet all forming part of its current light offering. Regenx-london
It sits firmly within the regenerative wellness and longevity world rather than the beauty-treatment end of the light spectrum.
The Bright Souls take: One for the light-curious who have graduated from simply lying beneath an LED panel. We haven’t tried this one yet, but we want to.
Remedi, For the Full Sensory Reset
Nine Elms | On our list

If you’re less interested in popping in for a quick treatment and more interested in disappearing from London for a while, Remedi takes a more layered approach.
Its wider biohacking offering includes light-based treatments, and we’re particularly interested in the Rebalance Pod, which brings light and sound into a more immersive experience.
This is less about a quick light fix and more about switching off from the outside world for a while.
The Bright Souls take: We like the idea of light as part of a bigger sensory reset rather than another isolated treatment.
Six Senses London, For Full-Body Red Light
The Whiteley, Bayswater | Tried + loved by Bright Souls

Set within The Whiteley in Bayswater, the new Six Senses London spa spans more than 2,300 square metres, while its wider wellness offering brings together everything from cryotherapy and flotation to hammam, functional screening and a Biohack Recovery Lounge. The hotel also confirms red-light therapies as part of its wellness offering. Six Senses
We tried the full-body red light ourselves and loved the fact that this takes light beyond the facial format, you are quite literally surrounded by it. We saw a few of these full bdy beds at Health Optimisation Summit, so hopefully we’ll be seeing them in and around more.
The Bright Souls take: Come for the red light; allow enough time to investigate everything else.

Burn Lab, For Moving in the Light
South Kensington | On our list

Not everyone wants to lie still: Burn Lab is a boutique infrared movement studio in South Kensington where just eight people at a time move in its Red Room.
Infrared heat, red light, music and movement come together across classes including hot Pilates, barre, power yoga and Yin, with sound baths and tea ceremonies bringing a slower side to the schedule too. The Burn Lab.
The Bright Souls take: This is what makes London’s current light scene interesting. Light isn’t just becoming a treatment; it’s becoming part of how we move, recover and socialise too.
Red Light, Infrared, LED… Are They All the Same Thing?
Not quite. Red-light therapy, often discussed under the wider term photobiomodulation or PBM, uses specific wavelengths of red and/or near-infrared light.
But London’s increasingly red wellness scene also includes infrared heat, LED beauty treatments and spaces that use coloured light as part of a wider sensory experience.
They aren’t interchangeable.
If you’re specifically looking for photobiomodulation rather than simply an infrared or red-lit experience, it’s worth looking at what the treatment actually uses and what it’s designed to do.
We go much further into the light itself — from morning daylight and circadian rhythm to red light and what we’re using at home — in The Regulated Woman: Ladies That Light.
Prefer to Light at Home?
Going somewhere for red light is lovely. Finding something you’ll actually use consistently is another matter.
I’ve been using CELLER8 because its portable set-up fits into actual life, beside my desk, at home or when I’m away — rather than requiring another appointment in the diary.
Because ultimately, however impressive the technology is: will you actually use it?
