We went to the Health Optimisation Summit last year and came away with far more than we expected.
There were brilliant conversations around menopause and women’s health, an IV in the middle of the afternoon, a fascinating talk on biological dentistry that completely changed the way we were thinking about oral health, and plenty of time spent trying things we’d never come across before.
We discovered new products, caught up with familiar faces from the wellness world, including the team at CELLER8, and ate and drank surprisingly well for a full day at a conference. Most importantly, we left having learnt things we were still talking about weeks later.
So when we heard the Health Optimisation Summit was returning to London this September, it went straight back into the diary. And this year, Bright Souls readers can get 10% off tickets with link below.
Here’s why we think it’s worth going.

So, what exactly is the Health Optimisation Summit?
Taking place at London’s Business Design Centre from 11th – 13th September 2026, the Health Optimisation Summit brings together some of the biggest conversations happening across modern wellbeing under one roof.
Think longevity, nutrition, hormones, neuroscience, recovery, mental health, biohacking and preventative health, alongside an exhibition floor filled with technology, treatments and products you can actually see, try and ask questions about.
This year’s event is expected to bring together more than 35 speakers, 125+ brands and 4,000 attendees.
It’s big, but that’s part of the appeal. You can go in thinking you’re interested in one subject and find yourself sitting in a completely unexpected talk an hour later.

What we loved last year
For us, the best part wasn’t one headline speaker or piece of technology. It was the sheer amount there was to discover.
We listened to conversations around menopause and women’s health, subjects we’re always interested in at Bright Souls, and came across authors and experts whose work we wanted to explore afterwards.
One of the biggest surprises was a talk on biological dentistry and oral health. It wasn’t something we’d gone specifically to hear, but it ended up being one of the conversations that stayed with us. It was a good reminder that wellbeing is rarely about one isolated part of the body.
Then there was the more experiential side of the Summit. We tried an IV, explored new health and wellness technology and spent plenty of time talking to the people behind the products.
We also caught up with brands we already know, including CELLER8, alongside discovering plenty we didn’t.
And yes, the food matters. Spending an entire day at a health event surrounded by the usual conference food would be slightly ironic. We found plenty of good, clean options to eat and drink throughout the day, which made staying for the whole thing considerably easier.
What we’re looking forward to in 2026
Part of the reason we’re going back is because we don’t entirely know what we’ll find.
The Summit covers the more progressive end of wellness, and this year’s programme stretches across longevity, performance, nutrition, brain health, women’s health and more.
There are already people we’re interested in hearing from, but we’re deliberately leaving room for the talks we hadn’t planned to see. Last year’s oral-health discovery proved that sometimes those are the ones you remember.
The joy of discovering something new
The exhibition floor is a big part of why we think the Summit is worth going to.
It’s one thing to read about the latest red-light device, supplement, diagnostic test or recovery technology online. It’s quite another to have the people behind it standing in front of you, where you can try it, ask questions and decide whether it’s something useful or simply another very shiny wellness gadget.
We love discovering brilliant new products at Bright Souls, but we’re also increasingly interested in discernment.
There is an extraordinary amount being sold to us in the name of feeling better. We don’t need all of it.
Finding the things that are interesting, useful or worth knowing about is one of the reasons an event like this appeals to us.

Have we reached peak optimisation?
There’s also a bigger conversation we’re taking into this year’s Summit.
We can now monitor our sleep, glucose, heart-rate variability and recovery. We can cold plunge, red light, supplement, fast and biohack almost every part of the day.
Some of it is fascinating. Some of it can make a meaningful difference.
But when does looking after ourselves become another thing we’re expected to excel at?
We’re increasingly interested in the space between optimisation and simply feeling well.
So we’ll be going into the Summit curious rather than evangelical: listening, trying the technology, meeting the people behind it and finding the things we genuinely think are worth bringing back to the Bright Souls community.

A new Business of Health Day
This year there is also a dedicated Business of Health Day on Friday 11 September, ahead of the main weekend.
It’s aimed at founders, investors, clinicians and people working within health and wellness, so it won’t be relevant to everyone reading Bright Souls. But if you work in the industry, it’s worth knowing about.
The main Health Optimisation Summit takes place across Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.
