We’re not packing summer away just yet. There are still outdoor tables to book, wild swims to squeeze in and, apparently, a pool party in September.
For our End of Summer Edit, we’re heading to Holy Carrot for fire, ferments and seriously good vegetables, escaping London for a final swim, and adding a new one-hour Endless Summer soundtrack to Spotify. We’re also welcoming Maria Lodetoft to Bright Souls People and looking ahead to her retreat in Morocco.
Plus, the latest from What’s On in Wellness and a few things making it into The Bright Edit.
Basically, everything we want to eat, book, listen to and do before anyone starts talking to us about autumn.
MEET | Maria Lodetoft joins Bright Souls People
We’re very happy to welcome Maria Lodetoft to Bright Souls People.
Maria Lodetoft creates immersive healing experiences designed to support transformation, self-discovery and deeper connection.
Blending ancient wisdom with a modern approach, her work combines sound healing, energy work and spiritual practices to help individuals reconnect with their true nature and purpose. Through sound baths, ceremonies, training programmes and mentorship, Maria creates spaces for healing, remembrance and personal growth.
As a Sound Healing and Galactic Reiki practitioner and teacher, Maria also supports aspiring healers and lightworkers in developing their gifts, stepping into their purpose and sharing their unique medicine with the world. Through her courses and growing community, she empowers others to cultivate greater meaning, abundance and authentic self-expression.
Each experience is thoughtfully guided and held, offering an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, awaken your potential and move forward with greater clarity and alignment.

ESCAPE | Morocco with Maria
Maria also has a beautiful upcoming retreat in Morocco.
The Rising Tide Retreat
Essaouira, Morocco | Saturday 24th October – Saturday 31st October
Escape to the Moroccan countryside for an intimate retreat designed to help you slow down, reconnect and create space for what’s next. Led by Maria Lodetoft and Levin, The Rising Tide combines movement, breathwork, Reiki, sound healing, meditation and ceremony with plenty of time to rest and reflect.
Why we rate it: We love the intimate feel of this retreat and its thoughtful blend of nervous system support, movement and deeper inner work. With just 10 guests and a beautiful setting near Essaouira, it’s a chance to properly switch off and reconnect.

EAT | Where to eat in London before summer disappears
Holy Carrot, Notting Hill
Plant-led, fire, ferments and seriously interesting vegetable cooking. I’m particularly interested in fermented foods at the moment, so this is definitely on my list.
Chelsea Physic Garden, Chelsea
A slightly unexpected dining spot. Lunch surrounded by one of London’s oldest botanical gardens, with its extraordinary collection of medicinal and useful plants.
Wild by Tart, Belgravia
Always good. Seasonal, ingredient-led food, a beautiful space and outdoor dining when the weather behaves. This is somewhere we’d genuinely arrange to meet a friend for lunch, rather than somewhere we’re including simply because it qualifies as “healthy”.
SWIM | One last outdoor swim?

GO | One last pool party
Crafted at Powdermills | Saturday 5th September
One last swim, one last margarita and one last dance by the lake. This end-of-summer celebration brings together music, movement, food and good times, with a day of pool and lake swims, outdoor dining, cocktails and wellness workshops, all set to a soundtrack of DJs and live music. Headlined by legendary DJ Greg Wilson, with HiFi Sean poolside and more DJs throughout the day, the celebrations continue from laid-back afternoon sessions through sunset and into the night.
Why we rate it: We love a wellness event that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Combining swimming, music, movement, great food and community, this is a feel-good way to squeeze every last drop out of summer.
