A Note from Kevin on the Practice of Lomi Lomi

Aloha, I’m Kevin, and I am honoured to share the beautiful healing practice of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage.

My path to Lomi Lomi was not simply a career choice; it was a journey of personal discovery. Like many people, I experienced periods in life where I felt disconnected from myself, overwhelmed by the pace of modern living and searching for something deeper. When I first encountered Lomi Lomi, I immediately felt its power to nurture not only the body but also the mind, heart and spirit. It offered a sense of connection, peace and healing that resonated deeply within me.

Lomi Lomi is often described as a massage of loving hands, but for me it is much more than a physical treatment. Rooted in the ancient Hawaiian philosophy of Aloha, it is a sacred practice that encourages harmony, compassion and the free flow of energy throughout the body. Each session is approached with intention, presence and respect, creating a safe space where you can simply let go, breathe and return to yourself.

One of the 7 principles of Huna, the Hawaiian philosophy of life is Makia, meaning “Energy flows where attention goes.” This principle guides both my life and my work. By bringing mindful attention to ourselves, we create the opportunity for healing, transformation and greater wellbeing.

Every person who comes to me carries their own story, challenges and aspirations. My role is not to fix or change you, but to hold a space where your body can relax, your mind can quieten and your natural capacity for healing can emerge. Whether you are seeking deep relaxation, emotional release, renewed energy or simply a moment of stillness, I welcome you exactly as you are.

It is my privilege to share this practice with you and to offer a little of the spirit of Aloha through every treatment.
