London Sound Bath Guide & Where to Book

Looking for the best sound baths in London? Whether you’re drawn to the rolling overtones of a gong bath or the clear, cocooning tones of crystal bowls, each style offers a unique path to calm. Gong baths often feel like a spacious, cleansing wave, while crystal bowls create a softer, more nurturing stillness. Our take: the most memorable London sound bath experiences blend the two – grounding yet soothing, immersive yet gentle.

Gong vs crystal, in a few gentle lines…

  • Gong baths: broad, rolling overtones, often felt as a spacious & cleansing wave.
  • Crystal bowls: clear, steady tones – a soft, cocooning calm.
  • Our take: A solid choice would be a thoughtful blend between the two, that offers both depth and calm, this keeps the sound bath both grounding and soothing without feeling too intense.

Our curated Sound Bath short list…

URMI Sound

URMI Sound provide immersive, artful journeys with thoughtful production; they often pop up at high-end spaces (e.g., The Mandrake, The Westin London City). Expect an experiential mix (bowls, gongs, textures). Keep an eye out for their floating sound baths!

On the topic of the Mandrake, this beautiful 5-star boutique hotel provides a moody, design-led setting with (alongside URMI sound sessions) a Spiritual Wellbeing programme; their options include crystalline sound baths, gong baths and Reiki Healing. They run weekly sessions – normally Sundays – plus private bookings (prices from £400 & room hire for certain formats). They are a great option for intimate groups and cinematic vibes.

Maria Lodetoft (Notting Hill)

Maria Lodetoft is a London-based Sound Healer and facilitator with international recognition. RE:MIND Studio (Belgravia)

This beautiful studio holds small, elegant classes most days; for sound healing classes, look for ‘Re:Sound – Crystal Bowls’ or ‘Re:Sound – Sound Bath’. Sound healing practitioner Lauren Raby runs a weekly Crystal Bowls Sound Healing session on a Thursday at RE:MIND and also works privately/for brands (plus a residency at 180 Health Club). Her sessions are a mix (gongs + singing bowls + chimes), with gentle guided pacing. We love their clear pricing and easy booking, which makes it a great choice for first-time goers. (Often a mix of bowls + light gong/chimes, teacher-dependent.) Tickets typically sit in the £30 range.

Yoga on the Lane (Dalston)

A neighbourhood favourite – their Sunday Night Sound Bath (7:15–8:15pm) with qualified Sound Therapist Joseph Yanaku is a gentle close to the week, at an accessible price point of £12. His sessions are often a mix of both bowls & the Tone of Life gong, which create a beautiful balance throughout the session. Their news is often shared via their Facebook community group.

IO Project (near-London / Surrey)

This space brings sound meditation to unique locations – notably D’Oyly Carte Island, in Weybridge. Their programme blends gongs & crystal bowls with nature soundscapes, and is certainly worth the trip for something truly memorable.
